Whats better than cheese?
A Cheez-It apparently. Its an American cheese snack food cracker made by Kellogs.
I don’t have a stand mixer so I was up some creek without a paddle. I ended up having to rub in the butter, flour and cheese.
The first batch came out burnt after 10 minutes.
Second batch stayed in the oven for 14 minutes at 150°C before the edges started to turn golden. The tops were a little pale, but they changed colour and went mostly crisp when they cooled down.
- 220g strong cheddar
- 125g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- Use your rolling pin as a straight edge when cutting the dough
